They are a registered, non-for-profit charitable organisation providing services and support to at-risk Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients who might be affected by homelessness, alcohol and other drug use, unemployment or other social issues.
Their values are reflected in the services we provide, the staff they employ, and the success stories of their clients.
In the unforgiving desert of Australia lies a red-barked tree known for its healing properties. The “Bloodwood Tree”, named for the blood-red colour of the sap it produces, has been used by Aboriginal people for centuries to heal and cure the sick and injured. So it’s no surprise that when the Barker family first decided to form an organisation to keep Aboriginal people safe, they gave it a name that would evoke feelings of safety, security, and healing in their people – Bloodwood Tree Association.
Bloodwood Tree clients have access to a range of one on one or group counselling sessions.
At Bloodwood Tree, we do not want our clients to face substance abuse issues alone. Our Counselling & support teams are here to help anyone who is struggling with drug or alcohol addiction, family violence or any family affected by substance abuse.
